Sigiriya Plate
The cloud maidens of Sigiriya have been looking out from the rock face for fifteen hundred years. Here they circle the rim in the same flat, graceful outline as the originals, carrying lotus buds and trays of flowers, while the rock itself rises at the centre with the lion’s paws at its base.
Saffron, terracotta and green. The most-visited site in the country, on a plate you can take home in hand luggage.
